Lamone é um vocalista, compositor e produtor multi-talentoso com um alcance vocal incrível. Ele ouvi música o tempo todo, influenciado por seus ídolos: mamãe, papai, Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Patti, Chaka e Aretha.
